The Canadian Mystery
Where skills were available, material was abundant, but people still complained.
Starting his career in Canada at the age 22, Rawad Chehayeb became a successful hairdresser and stylist. Despite his success in offering professional hair extension installation, clients still complain about their lengtheners tangling, drying and fading in colors.
For Rawad, this was quite puzzling. He knew he provided an excellent service, but something was missing. After he delved deeper into the art of hair extension, he came to the conclusion that the problem was the quality of hair extensions and not the installation method.
The Emirati Venture
Bringing closer the consuming market and the sources of production. Noticing that the vast majority of the hair extensions available in Canada were coming from China, where he had no control over the production, he decided to get closer. He moved to the UAE, a strategic location and a trading center that connects markets in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and America.
Setting up base in Dubai, Rawad introduced his products to the Gulf markets.
Benefiting from the area’s proximity to Asian production markets, he gained a better control over the material, yielding a decent, more satisfying brand and a distinction within the beauty industry.
The Production Era
Determined, and wizened by experience, Mr. Rawad Chehayeb opened his own workshop in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE, thus freeing his brand from the mercy of third parties, on the hopes of achieving the long-sought perfect and consistent quality.
Starting from a small-scale production of limited choices and colors, production grew exponentially as consumers, fascinated by the brand’s quality, kept asking for more.
Rawad decided to enter mass production, making the choice of building a factory in Dubai and thus breathing life into the Hairmiles brand at its modern form.
Today, and after a decade of satisfying beauty seekers, Hairmiles provides luxury hair extensions to markets within the UAE, GCC and all over the world.
